Common questions

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap the plus button, search for "Until & Since" and choose the small or medium widget. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, then add the circular, rectangular or inline widget. Touch and hold a placed widget and choose Edit Widget to pick which date it shows.

Why does a birthday show next year's date?

Dates marked "Repeats every year" always count toward the next occurrence. On the day itself the app shows "Today!"; from the next day it counts toward the following year.

My reminder did not arrive

  • Check that notifications are allowed for Until & Since in iOS Settings.
  • Check that the date has the reminder switch turned on.
  • Reminders fire at the time set in the app's Settings, or at the date's own time if you set one.

How do I change the theme?

Open Settings (the gear icon) and tap one of the four theme cards: Glass, Midnight, Paper or Aurora. Widgets pick up the theme the next time they refresh, or immediately after you add or edit a date.

How do I move my dates to a new phone?

They come along with your normal iCloud or computer backup. You can also use Settings → Export backup to save a JSON file anywhere you like.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay once on the App Store and everything, including every widget and theme, is included.

The app's data looks wrong or will not open

  • Fully close the app from the app switcher and reopen it.
  • Restart your device.
  • If the app reports that its saved data could not be read, it offers "Retry" and "Start fresh". Start fresh discards the damaged file; your dates are otherwise kept.

Email support@otwistgames.com and, to help us reproduce the problem, please include:

  • Your device model (for example, iPhone 15) and iOS version.
  • The app version (currently 1.0).
  • What happened and what you expected to happen.
  • Step-by-step instructions to reproduce it, if you can.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if possible.
